2001-017TOWN BOARD, TOWN OF WAPPINGER RESOLUTION RELATIVE TO PURCHASING PROCEDURES The following Resolution was offered by who moved its adoption: WHEREAS, pursuant to Town Law, a Budget is prepared each year by the Supervisor detailing expenses and revenues for the ensuing year, and WHEREAS, the Town Board shall review said tentative budget and reject or modify any budgetary item as the deem appropriate, and WHEREAS, that after due process of Public Hearing and provision for additional amendments, the annual Budget shall be adopted, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that within the confines of section 117 of the Town Law where provisions have been made in the annual budget for specific, large expenditures, further approval by the Town Board to consider the purchase of those expenditure need not be sought, provided that no other part of the Town's procurement Policy is circumvented, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Board permission to seek bids on various large purchases may not be required if any item is available through either State or County Bids.
