1998-09-24 RGM092498.WS The workshop meeting of the Town of Wappinger was held on September 24, 1998 at the town hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York. Supervisor Smith called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Present: Constance Smith, Supervisor Robert Valdati, Councilman Joseph Ruggiero, Councilman Joseph Paoloni, Councilman Others Present: Al Roberts, Attorney to the Town Jay Paggi, Engineer to the Town Ed Kellogg, Alpine Company Absent: Vincent Bettina, Councilman (due to teaching class) The first item on the agenda is the Alpine rezone agreement. At the September 14, 1998 Informational meeting, Attorney to the Town Al Roberts was authorized to go over the Alpine proposed rezone agreement with Jon Adams, Attorney representing Alpine Company. At this time, Attorney to the Town, Al Roberts went over the proposed agreement with the town board, and went over all the conditions that Alpine was willing to observe subsequent to rezoning. At this time, 7:50 p.m. COUNCILMAN RUGGIERO moved to go into Executive Session to discuss the Alpine Agreement. Seconded by Mr. Valdati Motion Unanimously Carried The meeting reconvened at 9:05 p.m. with all board members present. There was no action taken at the Executive Session. Next for discussion, is the Phase 3A Sewer, Map, Plan and Report. It was so noted, that the Map, Plan, and Report was filed with the Town Clerk on September 14, 1998. COUNCILMAN RUGGIERO, moved to accept Mr. Paggi's Phase 3A Sewer, Map, Plan and Report. Seconded by Paoloni Motion Unanimously Carried Mr. Paggi informed the board, that what he presented to them this evening represents the culmination of five years worth of study. He stated, that we are under a lot of pressure from the Wappinger Park Area to get this moving. Mr. Paggi went over the report with the board and said this proposal includes all areas contiguous to the existing trunk lines. Discussion followed. COUNCILMAN VALDATI moved to authorize Engineer to the Town file for an exemption from MCL (chloride levels) for one year for Wappinger Park. 1 092498.WS Seconded by Mr. Ruggiero Motion Unanimously Carried There was no other business to come before the Board.
