RESOLUTION NO. 2004-349
RESOLUTION DESIGNATING AN OFFICIAL NEWSPAPER
FOR THE TOWN OF WAPPINGER
At the regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess
County, New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New
York, on the 20`" day of December, 2004, at 7:30 P.M.
The meeting was called to order by Joseph Ruggiero, Supervisor, and upon roll
being called, the following were present:
PRESENT: Supervisor - Joseph Ruggiero
Councilmember- Robert L. Valdati
Vincent F. Bettina
Joseph P. Paoloni
Maureen McCarthy
ABSENT:
The following Resolution was introduced by Mr. Bettina and seconded by
Mr. Valdati
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Southern Dutchess News, a newspaper regularly
published in the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York and having a general
circulation in this Town, and being a newspaper entered as second class main matter, be
and the same hereby is designated as the official paper of the Town, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Poughkeepsie Journal, published in
the County of Dutchess and having general circulation therein, be and is designated as an
additional newspaper for the publication of Town Notices, subject to the limitations of
Section 64, Subdivision 11 of the Town Law of the State of New York, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk be and she hereby is
authorized and directed to give notice of such designation to the publishers of such
newspapers, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this resolution take effect January 1, 2005.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:
