Resolution Authorizing Change Order No. 2 for Highway Services Garage HVAC Project
At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New
York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on January 4, 2010.
The meeting was called to order by Christopher Colsey, Supervisor, and upon roll being called,
the following were present:

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Bettina and seconded by Councilman
Beale.
WHEREAS, the Engineers to the Town, Morris Associates Engineering Consultants, PLLC,
have recommended that the Town Board approve Change Order No. 2 to the Contract for Highway
Services Garage HVAC Project as per letter dated December 16, 2009.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set forth and
adopted herein.
2. The Town Board hereby approves Change Order No. 2 in the amount of Twelve
Thousand, Six Hundred Fifteen Dollars and 50/100 ($12,615.50), dated December 15,
2009, for Highway Services Garage HVAC Project Contract between the Town of
Wappinger and Airflow Air Conditioning, Refrigeration & Heating, Inc., resulting in a new
Contract sum in the amount of Two Hundred Fifty Six Thousand, Four Hundred Seventy -
Four Dollars and 00/100 ($256,474.00), for the reasons and associated costs set forth in the
letter dated December 16, 2009, from Morris Associates Engineering Consultants, PLLC, a
copy of which is affixed hereto
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:

Roof Repair over Garage #1
Change Order #2
Dear Mr. Colsey and Town Board Members:
Enclosed please find a copy of Change Order #2. This change order is necessitated due to the
poor condition of the existing roof which allows rain water to enter the garage in the area of the new boiler
installation. This change order is for the removal and disposal of the existing roofing material on the flat
section of garage building #1 and replacement of 2 pieces of 4'x 8' foot plywood. The contractor will then
install new 15# felt and 75# glass base sheet, new G.A.F. modified rubber torch applied roof system and
new aluminum flashing and drip edge. Additionally, repair to the pitched roof in areas where shingles are
missing and/or leaking water will be made. We requested the contractor, Airflow Air Conditioning,
Refrigeration & Heating, Inc. to provide the cost for material, demolition and installation. The amount
provided is $12,615.50. Therefore, the new contract total will be $$256,474.00 ($243,858.50 +
$12,615.50 = $256,474.00).
Please place this on the agenda for the January 4, 2010 Town Board Meeting for approval of
Change Order #'2.
