A Public Hearing was held by the Town Board of the Town of
Wappinger, on September 11, 1995 at the Town Hall 20 Middlebush
Road, on the proposed Local Law amending Local Law #10 of 1987 a
Local Law Enacting New Regulations on Flood Damage Prevention.
Supervisor Smith opened the Meeting at 7:00 P.M.

Robert Valdati, Councilman
Others Present:
Albert Roberts, Attorney to the Town
Graham Foster, Highway Superintendent
The Town Clerk offered for the record the Affidavit of Posting
and Publication duly signed and notarized. (These Affidavits
are attached hereto and made part thereof of the Minutes of this
Meeting).
Mr. Roberts, Attorney to the Town disclosed that the Town was to
have adopted the updated regulation some time ago, and through a
routine audit discovered the Town never complied. He also gave
a brief outline on the changes and informed the Board that the
Town must adopt this law in order to be consistent with
regulations propagated by FEMA.
SUPERVISOR SMITH asked if there were any comments or questions.
At this time Vincent Bettina of Chelsea Road was recognized by
the chair and asked if this law pertained to Wetlands. Mr.
Roberts responded no, it just concerned the development of
Flood Prone areas.
There were no more comments or questions.
COUNCILWOMAN VISCONTI moved to close the Public Hearing.
Seconded by Mr. Incoronato and Unanimously Carried.
