1994-04-11 SPM940411.SPM A Special Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger was held on April 11, 1994, at the Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York. Supervisor Smith Called the Meeting to order at 7:02 P.M. Present: Constance O. Smith, Supervisor Joseph Ruggiero, Councilman June Visconti, Councilwoman Elaine H. Snowden, Town Clerk Absent: Robert Valdati, Councilman Joseph Incoronato, Councilman Others Present: Albert Roberts, Attorney to the Town Joseph Paggi, Engineer to the Town Graham Foster, Highway Superintendent Ann Buckley, Comptroller The Supervisor asked all to join in the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag at the commencement of the Meeting. The Purpose of the meeting was to award the Bulk Clean Up Bid and consider approval of the rental rates for Highway Equipment. The first item for the Board's consideration were the Clean up Bids. Two Bids were received, and the results are as follows: ROYAL WASTE MANAGEMENT OPTION "A" TON HAUL ------ TON HAUL METAL (2) 0 $58.50 0 $ 65.00 JUNK (3) $88.00 97.75 $88.00 100.00 TRANSFER STATION ROYAL WASTE MANAGEMENT OPTION "C" TON HAUL TON HAUL METAL (1) 0 0 0 0 JUNK $104.50 0 $62.00 0 COMBUSTIBLES 98.00 0 88.00 0 COUNCILWOMAN VISCONTI moved to award the bid for Bulk Clean up Page i 940411.SPM to Royal Carting, OPTION "C" &. upon the recommendation of Mr. Foster, Superintendent of Highway, reserve the right to switch to option "A sections 2 & 3 if for some reason the new method doesn't prove to be cost effective. Seconded by Mr. Ruggiero. Motion Carried It was noted by Mrs. Smith, that there was a call to bring in a third Bid after the Bid opening, and the Carter was informed that his bid would not be accepted. The Second item on the Agenda brought before the Town Board was the Rental rates of Highway Equipment. COUNCILWOMAN VISCONTI moved based on the recommendation of the Superintendent of Highways that the rental rates submitted to the Board Members be approved. Seconded by Mr. Ruggiero Motion Carried There was no other business to come before the Board. COUNCILWOMAN VISCONTI moved to close the Special Meeting, seconded by Mr. Ruggiero and motion carried.
