Resolution Authorizing the Use of Town Hall Facilities in Conjunction with the Mid -Hudson Road
Runners Club Annual Mama's & Papa's Race
At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New
York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on March 22, 2010.
The meeting was called to order by Christopher Colsey, Supervisor, and upon roll being called,
the following were present:
PRESENT: Supervisor - Christopher J. Colsey
Councilmembers - William H. Beale (arrived at 6:05pm)
Ismay Czarniecki
Joseph P. Paoloni
ABSENT: Vincent F. Bettina
The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Paoloni and seconded by Councilman
Beale.
WHEREAS, the Mid -Hudson Road Runners Club annually holds its Mama's & Papa's Race in
the Town of Wappinger, with Town Hall as the start and finish locations; and
WHEREAS, a written request has been made to utilize Town Hall facilities to accommodate the
runners; and
WHEREAS, the race is scheduled for Saturday, July 10, 2010; and
WHEREAS, all manpower and personnel supplied by the Mid -Hudson Road Runners Club will
be under the management and general supervision of the Town Recreation Department
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set forth and
adopted herein.
2. The Town of Wappinger Recreation Department shall be responsible for the oversight of
all manpower and personnel supplied by the Mid -Hudson Road Runners Club.
3. All necessary manpower and personnel will be supplied by the Mid -Hudson Road
Runners Club at no expense to the Town of Wappinger.
4. This event is proposed for Saturday, July 10, 2010.

The attached letter was received from Pete Sanfilippo of the Mid -Hudson Road Runners
Club requesting approval of the 4th annual Mama's & Papa's Race to be held on
Saturday, July 10, 2010.
He will require use of the Senior Center for bathroom facilities and the use of some tables
and chairs. The path of the run is outlined in the letter and is the same as last year.

START/FINISH WOULD BE AT THE WAPPINGER TOWN HALL ON MIDDLEBUSH ROAD.THE
COURSE WOULD GO THRU WJHS TO REMSEN AVE,THRU OAK PARK,TO REMSEN AVE,LEFT
ONTO EAST MAIN ST.,IN THE VILLAGE OF WAPPINGERS FALLS,LEFT ONTO MESIER
AVE.TO MAPLE ST. AND BACK TO THE TOWN HALL.
THE RUN/WALK WOULD START AT 8:15AM,SATURDAY MORNING,JULY 10TH.
LIABILITY INSURANCE WILL BE PROVIDED THROUGH THE MIDHUDSON ROAD RUNNERS
CLUB.
I WOULD NEED THE BATHROOM FACILITIES AND A FEW TABLES & CHAIRS.
THE RUN/WALK WILL BE ORGANIZED AND DIRECTED BY THE KNIGHTS OF
COLUMBUS,COUNCIL 1646,OF THE VILLAGE OF WAPPINGERS FALLS AND MID HUDSON
ROAD RUNNERS CLUB. THIS WILL BE OUR FOURTH YEAR.
