1991-11-18 SPMA Special Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger
was held on November 18, 1991, at the Town Hall, 20 Middlebush
Road, Wappingers Falls, New York.
Supervisor Smith opened the Meeting at 7:32 P.M.

This meeting was set by the Supervisor at the Special Meeting of
November 4, 1991, for the purpose of adopting the Benefit Assessment
Rolls for the Water and Sewer District and Improvement Areas.
Public Hearings having been held on the Benefit Assessment Rolls
on November 18, 1991, the matter was placed before the Board for
their consideration.
MR. VALDATI moved to adopt the Benefit Assessment Rolls for 1992
for the following Water and Sewer Districts and Improvement Areas,
as presented at the Public Hearings: Wappinger Sewer Improvement
Area #1, Wildwood Sewer District, Mid -Point Park Sewer Improvement
Area, Rockingham Farms Sewer District, Wappinger Sewer Treatment/
Transmission Improvement Area #1, Wappinger Sewer Treatment/Transmission
Improvement Area #2, Fleetwood Sewer District; Fleetwood Water District,
Oakwood Water District, Central Wappinger Water Improvement Area,
Ardmore Water Improvement Area, Tall Trees Water Improvement Area,
Wappinger Park Water District, North Wappinger Water District, Myers
Corners II Water District and Wappinger Cranberry Water Improvement
Area.

Motion Unanimously Carried

the first steps toward the Tri -Municipal Project. The rate will be
$12.75.

relating to the subject matter of the Hearing. Noone had any
statements to make or questions on the Assessment Roll.

hereto and made part thereof of the Minutes of this Hearing).
The Supervisor noted that the rate for this Improvement Area will be
$78.61 for 1992, up from $46.34. She asked the public if they wished
to comment on the Assessment Roll for this Area. Noone spoke on the
subject matter.

Visconti and unanimously carried.

The Town Clerk offered for the record the Affidavit of Posting and
Publication duly signed and notarized. (These Affidavits are attached
hereto and made part thereof of the Minutes of this Hearing).
The rate for 1992 for this District will be $323.62 up from $157.33
due to capital improvements.
Rose Wells, 5 Onondaga Drive, resident of the District thought this
amount to be considerably less than the amounts brought up at previous
public hearings held when the Town took over the District. Mr. Valdati
explained that this was due to a lesser interest rate that they were
able to obtain.
Noone else spoke on the Assessment Roll for the Wappinger Park Water
District'.
MRS. VISCONTI moved to close the Public Hearing, seconded by Mr.
Fanuele and unanimously carried.
