1990-04-04 SPMA Special Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger was held on April 4, 1990, at the Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Town of Wappinger, New York. Supervisor Smith opened the Meeting at 7:35 P.M. Present: Constance Smith, Supervisor Victor Fanuele, Councilman Joseph Incoronato, Councilman Robert Valdati, Councilman Elaine H. Snowden, Town Clerk Absent: June Visconti, Councilwoman (Illness in Family) Notices of this meeting were sent to all Board Members on April 2, 1990 calling said meeting for April 4, 1990 at 7:30 P.M. Notices were also forwarded to the news media and posted on the Bulletin Board on this same date. The purpose of the meeting were to authorize the Highway Superintendent to go to bid for the Town -wide recycle and to authorize the Zoning Administrator to attend a meeting once a month of the New York Officers of Planning Federation. MR. FANUELE moved to authorize the Highway Superintendent to go to bid for disposal of the Town -wide Recycle and Bulk Pick -Up, Seconded by Mr. Incoronato Motion Unanimously Carried MR. VALDATI moved to authorize the Zoning Administrator to attend the meeting of the New York Officers of Planning Federation once every month. Seconded by Mr. Incoronato Motion Unanimously Carried The Town Clerk asked the Board if they would address a request from the Highway Superintendent to attend a Conference at Cornell for three days in June; it was important to consider prior to the monthly meeting since early registration was required. The Town Board had no objection to addressing this request. MR. FANUELE moved to authorize the Highway Superintendent to attend a Conference at Cornell, New York, on the designated days of this year. Seconded by Mr. Incoronato Motion Unanimously Carried ki The final item was in reference to an application for a grant of $4,000 from Dutchess County for educational purposes for recycling, pertinent to advertising. The following Resolution was offered by COUNCILMAN FANUELE who moved its adoption: RESOLVED, that the Supervisor of the Town of Wappinger be authorized to apply for a $4,000.00 Grant from Dutchess County for educational purposes for familiarizing the public with the recycling process and a subsequent mandated program for same. Seconded by: Councilman Incoronato Roll Call Vote: 4 Ayes Councilman Visconti ---Absent There was no other business addressed by the Board. MR. Mtg. 4/4/90 A Public Hearing was held by the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger on April 9, 1990, on a proposed Local Law Relating to the Imposition of Water Rates for the Wappinger Park Water District, at the Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York. Supervisor Smith opened the Hearing at 7:02 P.M. Present: Constance Smith, Supervisor Victor Fanuele, Councilman Joseph Incoronato, Councilman Elaine H. Snowden, Town Clerk Absent: Robert Valdati, Councilman June Visconti, Councilwoman Others Present: Attorney Joseph Egitto The Town Clerk offered for the record the Affdiavits of Posting and Publication duly signed and notarized. (These Affdavits are attached hereto and made part thereof of the Minutes of this Hearing). The Supervisor had requested Mr. Egitto to attend this Hearing, in the absence of Mr. Roberts, to answer questions that might be raised fn by the residents of this District. The Supervisor noted that there were no residents present to represent the Wappinger Park Water District, therefore there were no comments or questions on the proposed Local Law. MRS. VISCONTI moved to close the Public Hearing, seconded by Mr. Fanuele and unanimously carried. The Hearing closed at 7:05 P.M. Elaine H.
