Resolution Authorizing Change Order No. 1 for the Carnwath Farms Park Electrical Service
Project
At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New
York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on October 12, 2010.
The meeting was called to order by Christopher Colsey, Supervisor, and upon roll being called,
the following were present:
PRESENT: Supervisor - Christopher J. Colsey
Councilmembers - William H. Beale (Arrived 6:14PM)
Vincent F. Bettina
Ismay Czarniecki (Arrived 6:09PM)

ABSENT:
The following Resolution was introduced by Supervisor Colsey and seconded by Councilman
Bettina.
WHEREAS, the Engineers to the Town, Morris Associates Engineering Consultants, PLLC,
have approved Change Order No. 1 to the Contract for the Town of Wappinger Carnwath Farms Park
Electrical Service project, as per letter dated October 6, 2010, a copy of which has been provided to the
Town Board in advance of this resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set forth and
adopted herein.
2. The Town Board hereby approves Change Order No. 1 in the amount of Four Thousand,
One Hundred Fifty Dollars and 00/100 ($4,150.00), dated October 6, 2010, for the Town
of Wappinger Carnwath Farms Park Electrical Service project Contract between the Town
of Wappinger and Stoneykill Contracting, Inc., resulting in a new Contract sum in the
amount of Eighty -Seven Thousand, Three Hundred Fifty Dollars and 00/100 ($87,350.00),
for the reasons and associated costs set forth in the letter dated October 6, 2010, from
Morris Associated Engineering Consultants, PLLC.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:

Dear Mr. Cossey and Town Board Members:
Enclosed please find a copy of the AIA Document G701 entitled Change Order. The purpose of
this change order is for the replacement of existing control wires for the water system and an electrical
service for the heater in a vault that contains the system valves. The original overhead wires were
removed as part of this contract, but their inclusion in the replacement was an oversight and therefore
were not included in the original bid. The following is the scope of this Change Order:
• Supply and install 500+ feet of 12 gauge — 6 wire for controls between pump house and
storage tank. Contractor will use 1000+ feet of 12 gauge — 3 wire.
• Dig trench, install sand pad and backfill 90'-100' of trench to valve vault pit.
• Supply and install 100+ feet of 110v wire to valve vault pit and connect wire to heater.
We requested a cost from the contractor, Stoneykill Contracting, Inc., for this change and they
submitted an additional cost of $4,150.00.
Please place this on the agenda for the October 12, 2010 Town Board Meeting for approval of
Change Order #1.
