1988-12-19 SPM342 A Special Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger was held on December 19, 1988, at the Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York. Supervisor Paino opened the meeting at 7:15 P.M. Present: Irene Paino, Supervisor Vincent Farina, Councilman David Reis, Councilman Constance Smith, Councilwoman Robert Valdati, Councilman Elaine H. Snowden, Town Clerk The meeting was called by Supervisor Paino for the sole purpose of considering the reimbursement of overpaid water charges to a resident in the Watch Hill Water District. Notices were sent to the Town Board on December 15, 1988 calling said meeting for December 19, 1988 at 7:15 P.M. Notices were sent to the News Media on the same day and also posted on the Town Clerk's Bulletin Board maintained by her in the Town Hall. Mr. Carlo Picciotti, Mocassin View Road, wrote to the Board in October indicating that he has been a tenant to the Watch Hill Water District for the past six years until it was brought to his attention by another resident of that area, that his property is within the boundary lines of that District and he was entitled to receive water service at the regular rates. He had previously paid a $500.00 hookup fee and double the rates paid by the residents of that District. The Engineer investigated the map of that District and determined that Mr. Picciotti's property was indeed within the boundaries. A work shop followed and Mr. Picciotti presented his bills to confirm the fact that he was paying double rates. Confirmation was also received from Debra Brown, Water and Sewer Billing Clerk that he had paid $897.00 more than he should have paid over the course of these years. He should also be reimbursed $250.00 of the hook fee, as he has also paid double for that service. MRS. PAINO moved to reimburse Mr. Picciotti the sum of $1,147.00 which represents $897.00 overage for tenant fees plus $250.00 overage in hookup fees, for the Watch Hill Water District. Seconded by Mrs. Smith Motion Unanimously Carried 342 MR. FARINA moved to close the Special Meeting, seconded by Mr. Reis and unanimously carried. The meeting closed at 7:20 P.M. Spl.
