Resolution Altering the Town of Wappinger Town Board Meeting Schedule for November
2010
At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County,
New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on
November 4, 2010.
The meeting was called to order by Christopher Colsey, Supervisor, and upon roll being
called, the following were present:
PRESENT: Supervisor - Christopher J. Colsey
Councilmembers - William H. Beale (Departed 9:11 PM)
Vincent F. Bettina (Arrived 6:12 PM)
Ismay Czarniecki
Joseph P. Paoloni
ABSENT:
The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Paoloni and seconded by
Councilwoman Czarniecki.
WHEREAS, the Town Board adopted a schedule of public meetings at its annual re-
organization meeting of January 4, 2010; and
WHEREAS, the Town Board has met on Thursday, November 4, 2010, for the purpose
of statutorily required public hearings in respect to the 2011 budget and held a public meeting
immediately after to address all known pending business; and
WHEREAS, the Town Board has determined the meeting on Monday, November 8,
2010, to be unneeded and has resolved to cancel such meeting; and
WHEREAS, New York State Town Law requires the adoption of a Final Budget no later
than November 20, 2010 or the last adopted budget shall become the default budget for fiscal
year 2011; and
WHEREAS, the regularly scheduled meeting of Monday, November 22nd falls during
the week of Thanksgiving, a time in which many are unavailable due to personal commitments;
and
WHEREAS, the Town Board hereby cancels the Town Board meeting for Monday,
November 22, 2010; and
WHEREAS, the Town Board, in recognition of the final budget adoption schedule, and
in consideration of the holiday period, hereby schedules a public Town Board meeting for
Thursday, November 18, 2010, at 12:OOPM, at Wappinger Town Hall.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set
forth and adopted herein.
2. The Town Board hereby authorizes the cancellation of the Town Board in
for Monday, November 8, 2010 and Monday, November 22, 2010.
3. The Town Board hereby schedules a public Town Board meeting for Thursday,
November 18, 2010, at 12:00 PM, at Wappinger Town Hall, for the purpose of
addressing any matters of pending Town business.
4. The Town Board hereby authorizes the Town Clerk to post and publish the
modified meeting schedule in accordance with this adopted resolution.
