It is true that $325,000 was offered. !t is true it came up. The people were interested but we changed our minds. Did they offer it? Yes Did they intend to run it as a business? If I bought the business and opened a place on Route 9 and called it Villa Borghese, what would the good will be worth? I don't know. My building and everybody knows story of building and 3 acres. It is a non- conforming business. If closed would be a residental property. I do not question that the property has value. You cannot buy a $325,000 gross business for $125,000. Our location is against us. 1971 purchased for $85,000. What figure? 45,000 for fixtures 40,000 real estate No comparables? We have the Chinese Restaurant on Rte 9 Isn't that commercial property. How old is the house? About 23M25 years old Asked Mrs. Rose to sign grievance form, which they both did. Actually the Town Assessor's office assessed at a value of $52,000. Based upon State ratio rate of 14.8, so the town has not used a higher figure than appraisal. . Iccannot.understand how 't'Te are getting raised as we are just getting in. One neighbor has a yellow house but I do not know the name. Advised them to look at tax roll and compare.; Then give in a list tonight and it will help' us to decide. By getting comparables you may: find several are the same as yours or some ~ not.
