1982-09-29 SPMA Special Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger was held on September 29, 1982, at the Town Hall, Mill Street, Village of Wappingers Falls, Dutchess County, New York. This meeting had been duly called at the regular Town board Meeting of September 13, 1982 for 6:45 P.M. for the purpose of allowing the Town Clerk to forward the Tentative Budget to the Town Board. Present: Gerard McCluskey, Councilman Bernice Mills, Councilwoman Elaine H. Snowden, Town Clerk Absent: Louis Diehl, Superirisor Nicholas Johnson, Councilman Frank Versace, Councilman At Roll Call only two Board Members were present, not constituting a quorum, nor was there any public present. Since Supervisor Diehl was ill, Councilman Johnson was out of town and Councilman Versace had earlier informed the Clerk that he would not be present, and since there were no actions to be taken by the Board, the two Councilpersons present informally opened the meeting at 6:45 P.M. for the purpose of receiving the Tentative Budget from the Town Clerk. (Councilman Versace had received his copy earlier this date). Mrs. Snowden did inform the two Board Members that Mr. Versace had requested it be noted for the record that he had not requested a salary increase for 1983. T here being no other business before the Board, the meeting was closed at 6:47 P.M. Elaine H. Snowden Town Clerk A Public Hearing was held by the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger on September 29, 1982, at the Town Hall, Mill Street, Village of Wappingers Falls, Dut chess County, New York, on a proposed Local Law amending Local Law No. 1 of 1967, Local Law No. 5 of 1977, Local Law No. 2 of 1980 and Local Law No. 6 of 1980, providing for a partial tax exemption of real property owned by certain persons with limited income who are 65 years of age or over. The Hearing opened at 6:35 P.M. Present: Gerard McCluskey, Councilman Bernice Mills, Councilwoman Elaine H. (These Affidavits are attached hereto and made part thereof of the minutes of this hearing). There were no comments from the public either for or against the proposed Local Law.
