1981-10-05 SPMA Special Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger was held on October 5th, 1981 at theTown Hall, Mill Street, Village of Wappingers Falls, Dutchess County, New York. Supervisor Diehl opened the meeting at 7:00 P.M. Present: Louis Diehl, Supervisor Bernice Mills, Councilwoman Janet Reilly, Councilwoman Frank Versace, Councilman Elaine H. Snowden, Town Clerk Absent: Nicholas Johnson, Councilman This meeting was set by the Supervisor at the regular meeting held September 14, 1981, and notices were sent to the three newspapers and four radio stations and also posted on the Town Clerk's Bulletin Board. Supervisor Diehl stated that the purpose of this meeting was for the Town Clerk to submit the Tentative Budget of 1982 to the Town Board, and out of respect for our Highway Superintendent, Bill Horton, who passed away on Sunday, he stated that no other business be conducted. The Town Clerk then informed the Town Board that she had received the Tentative Budget of 1982 from the Comptroller's Office on September 30th, 1981, and as required by Town Law, she was now presenting it to the Town Board. Mr. Versace then submitted a proposed Budget for a Town Water and Sewer Department and asked that it be used at the work shop sessions of the Town Board and it be discussed along with the Tentative Budget. He presented four copies of this budget to the Town Clerk. Mrs. Mills voiced an objection, Mr. Versace countered that he simply requested the Board to review it. No other business was conducted at this meeting. MR. DIEHL moved to close the Special Meeting, seconded by Mrs. Mills and unanimously carried. The meeting closed at 7:04 P.M. Spl.
