1975-09-30 SPMA Special Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger was held on September 30, 1975, at the Town Hall, Mill Street, Wapp- ingers Falls, New York. Present: Louis Diehl, Supervisor Louis Clausen, Councilman Leif Jensen, Councilman Stephen Saland, Councilman Frank Versace, Councilman Others Present: William Horton, Superintendent of Highways Allan Rappleyea, Attorney to the Town Rudolph Lapar, Engineer to the Town Upon Roll Call all five Board members were present. COUNCILMAN LOUIS CLAUSEN moved to call a Special Meeting, seconded by Councilman Versace and upon roll call, carried. Roll Call Vote: 5 Ayes 0 Nays Supervisor Diehl then called the meeting to order at 8:40 P.M. The first order of business was to take into consideration the matter of a Building Permit issued to Michael Schwall, M & G Sanitation Corp, for construction on his property in Hughsonville. COUNCILMAN CLAUSEN moved to revoke the Building Permit issued to Michael Schwall, M & G Sanitation Corp. pertaining to his property in Hughsonville, New York, until a decision is rendered by the Zoning Board of Appeals. Seconded by Mr. Saland. Roll Call Vote: 5 Ayes 0 Nays Supervisor Diehl called for a recess at 8:41 P.M. Supervisor Diehl called the meeting back to order at 11:05 P.M. All Board members were again present. COUNCILMAN JENSEN moved to direct the Engineer to the Town to install inline pressure pumps in the area of Top O'Hill Road, Dogwood Hill Road and/or as specified in the contracts. al 9 8` g Seconded by Mr. Clausen. Roll Call Vote: 5 Ayes 0 Nays COUNCILMAN JENSEN moved to establish the policy that it shall be the Town's responsibility for maintaining water service lines ` r from the curb cock to the Town's main where the curb cock is located on Town property. Seconded by Mr. Saland. Roll Call Vote: 5 Ayes 0 Nays COUNCILMAN CLAUSEN moved that, the Hifghway Superintendent ,arid Engineer to the Town investigate the diverting of the stream back to its natural course in Oakwood Knolls, and to investigate the possibility of State and/or Federal aid availability, and also to explore the availability of the Army Corp of Engineers for assistance on the Oakwood Knolls problem. Seconded by Mr. Jensen. Roll Call Vote: 5 Ayes '0 Nays, MR. CLAUSEN moved to direct the Highway Superintendent to erect 4 way stop signs at the intersections of Balfour Drive with Carrol Lane, and Carrol Lane with Scott Drive in the Rockingham Farms Section II development.
