1974-03-04 SPMA Special Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger was held on March 4, 1974, at 6&:45 P.M. at the Town Hall, Mill Street, Wappingers Falls, New York. Notice of said meeting was mailed to each Board member on March 1, 1974, calling the meeting for 6:45 P.M., March 4, 1974, for the purpose of considering an agreement for the Tri -Municipal Sewer Improvement Area and any other business that may properly come before the Board. Supervisor Diehl called the meeting to order at 8:05 P.M. Present: Louis Diehl, Supervisor Louis Clausen, Councilman Leif Jensen, Councilman Frank Versace, Councilman Elaine H. Snowden, Town Clerk Absent: Stephen Saland, Councilman Others Present: Allan E. Rappleyea, Attorney to the Town Supervisor Diehl noting that the meeting had been called essential- ly to consider an agreement for the Tri -Municipal Sewer Improvement Area, asked Mr. Rappleyea for a brief summary of the contents of the agreement and its purpose, for the Board's information. Mr. Rappleyea explained that he had prepared for the Board's con- sideration, a contract for the Tri -Municipal Sewer Improvement Area, which covers the contract between the Engineers and the four municipalities involved. It proposes, basically, that they are engaged to be the engineers to the project, but on a step basis. Essentially it says the engineers shall provide preliminary and detailed engineering necessary to get State and Federal Aide. He went on to explain in detail, the financing, based on percentages of projected construction costs, and rudamentary outlines of the project. 98 MR. JENSEN moved that the Supervisor be authorized to execute the agreement for the Town of Wappinger protion of the Tri -Muni- cipal Sewer. Improvement Atea contract, which document being dated February 20, 1974. Seconded by Mr. Clausen. Roll Call Vote: Councilman Clausen Aye Councilman Jensen Aye Councilman Saland Absent Councilman Versace" 'Aye Supervisor Diehl Aye Motion Unanimously Carried Mr. Diehl placed before the Board a request from Mr. Heinz Goertz to be considered as a tenant in the Watch Hill Water Improvement Area. Mr. Rappleyea, stated he believed permission should be received to allow a property in the Tdwn of Wappinger, who doesn't have service, to tie into the Watch' Hill Water Improvement Area. (It is a Town Improvement Area, with the source, however, in Fishkill) . MR. DIEHL moved that Heinz Goertz be given permission to hook into the Watch Hill Water Sewer and Water Improvements as a tenant with full agreement with the Town of Fishkill. Seconded by Mr. Clausen.
