Colsey TOWN BOARD William H. Beale Vincent Bettina Ismay Czarniecki Joseph P. Paoloni Supervisor Ojffic MAR 15 2011 The annual inspection and servicing of the fire extinguishers at Town Hall expires this month. It has been brought to my attention that we have several different companies performing these inspections and servicing in the various town owned buildings. I feel the Town would benefit and possibly save money if an RFP was distributed to the various companies providing the service. The RFP would be for the following: ~Annual inspection of all portable fire extinguishers in building and in vehicles ~Hydro Static testing when required. ~Servicing of any discharged extinguishers. We also have Automatic Fire Extinguishing Systems that require inspection every six months. Extinguishing System for the gasoline dispensing at Highway Commercial cooking equipment at Robinson Lane Commercial cooking equipment at Carnwath The RFP for the systems should include the following: *Six month service and inspection ~Replacement of fusible links where required ~Update to UL 300 system if required Dealing with one company would be easier to keep track of expiration dates and service records
