Resolution Authorizing Summer Employment within the Building and Grounds
Department
At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County,
New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on June 13,
2011.
The meeting was called to order by Christopher Colsey, Supervisor, and upon roll being
called, the following were present:
PRESENT: Supervisor - Christopher J. Colsey
Councilmembers - William H. Beale
Vincent F. Bettina
Ismay Czarniecki
ABSENT: Joseph P. Paoloni
The following Resolution was introduced by Councilwoman Czarniecki and seconded by
Councilman Beale.
WHEREAS, the Town of Wappinger adopted the Final Budget for Fiscal Year 2011 on
November 18, 2010; and
WHEREAS, the 2011 Town of Wappinger Final Budget appropriated funding for two
summer parks and maintenance employees through Budget Line A7110.107 consistent with prior
budgets; and
WHEREAS, the Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds has proposed the following
candidates for employment to the Town Supervisor:

Jonathan Harris $9.00 A7110.107 (returning)
WHEREAS, the aforementioned personnel shall be employed as seasonal (summer)
parks and maintenance employees with the Department of Buildings and Grounds for the period
of May 31, 2011, through September 2, 2011.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set
forth and adopted herein.
2. The Town Board hereby authorizes the Town Supervisor and Town Accountant to
employ the aforementioned seasonal (summer) personnel within the Department
of Buildings and Grounds for the period of May 31, 2011, through September 2,
2011, at the rate of $9.00 per hour for a maximum of thirty-five (35) hours per
week from Budget Line A7110.107.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:
