Resolution Appointing a Marriage Officer and Alternate for the Town of Wappinger
At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County,
New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on August 8,
2011.
The meeting was called to order by William H. Beale, Deputy Supervisor, and upon roll
being called, the following were present:
PRESENT: Deputy Supervisor
Councilmembers
ABSENT:
William H. Beale
Vincent F. Bettina
Ismay Czarniecki
Joseph P. Paoloni (Arrived 7:31 pm)
The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Paoloni and seconded by
Deputy Supervisor Beale.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Cheryl Hait be and she hereby is
appointed as a Marriage Officer for the Town of Wappinger, and Matthew Alexander be and he
hereby is appointed as an Alternate Marriage Officer for the Town of Wappinger, pursuant to
Article 3 Section 11 c of the Domestic Relations Law, to serve at the pleasure of the Town Board;
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that neither Cheryl Hait nor Matthew Alexander shall
receive a salary for said position, however, both may accept gratuities up to $75.00 per ceremony
at which she or he officiates.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:
