2011-2892011-289 Resolution to Fill Vacancy in the Office of Town Supervisor At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on August 8, 2011. The meeting was called to order by William H. Beale, Deputy Supervisor, and upon roll being called, the following were present: PRESENT: Deputy Supervisor Councilmembers William H. Beale Vincent F. Bettina Ismay Czarniecki Joseph P. Paoloni (Arrived 7:31 pm) ABSENT: The following Resolution was introduced by Councilwoman Czarniecki and seconded by Councilman Bettina. WHEREAS, a vacancy exists in the Office of the Supervisor of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, by virtue of the resignation of Christopher J. Colsey, who resigned as Supervisor effective July 31, 2011, at 11:59 p.m.; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Town Law § 64(5), the Town Board, or the majority Members thereof, are authorized to fill such vacancy for the remainder of the unexpired term of the Supervisor. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows: 1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set forth and adopted herein. 2. Pursuant to the authority vested in the Town Board, pursuant to Town Law §64(5), Barbara Gutzler of and residing at 5 Russett Lane, a duly qualified resident of the Town of Wappinger, is hereby appointed to fill the vacancy existing in the Office of the Supervisor of the Town of Wappinger. This appointment is effective August 15, 2011 and the said Barbara Gutzler shall hold office until December 31, 2011. 3. Those Council Members voting in favor of such appointment shall hereby execute the Certification of Appointment in the form attached hereto.
