Authorization to Sell Surplus Town and Highway Department Equipment
At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County,
New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on April 23,
2012.
The meeting was called to order by Barbara Gutzler, Supervisor, and upon roll being
called, the following were present:

ABSENT:
The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Bettina and seconded by
Councilman Beale.
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 2012-125 adopted by the Town Board on March 26,
2012, Highway Superintendent, Graham Foster, was authorized to solicit bids for the sale or
disposal of surplus Town or Highway Department equipment and vehicles; and
WHEREAS, Superintendent Foster reported on the results of the bids by memo dated
April 16, 2012, a copy of which is affixed hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set
forth and adopted herein.
2. The Town Board hereby authorizes the following sales:
A. 2000 Chevrolet Pick Up Truck to James Baisley for the sum of One
Thousand, Two Hundred Dollars ($1,200.00);
B. 2002 Chevrolet Pick Up Truck to James Vignogna for the sum of One
Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00); and
C. 1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass Station wagon to James Vignogna for the sum of
Four Hundred ($400.00).
3. Superintendent Foster, and Town Supervisor, Barbara A. Gutzler, are hereby
authorized to execute any and all documents, including Department of Motor
Vehicle forms and Bills of Sale necessary to transfer the above vehicles to the
successful bidders.
4. Because there were no bids for the 1987 International Dump Truck, the 1989
International Dump Truck and the 1990 International Cab & Chassis, the Town
Board hereby authorizes that they be sold to the scrap yard.
5. Because there was no bid for the 2005 Ford Crown Victoria, the Town Board
authorizes the same to be sold at the Dutchess County auction.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:
