Notice of meeting was mailed to each Boo 'VtAon! March 18, 1971. Supecvieor Diehl called the meeting to order:a:t 8:04 P.M,- Present: Louis Diehl, Supervisor Louis Clausen, Councilman G:t' D®nald Finnan, Councilman- Harry Holt, Councilman -James Mills, Councilman Elaine H. Snowden, Town Clerk Others Present: Allan Rappleyea, Attorney to the Town The following Resolution was offered by COUNCILMAN HOLT who moved its adoption: WHEREAS abandoned and junked cars are a serious blight upon a community and impair the beauty and the health of the community, and WHEREAS, the Lions Club of the Town of Wappinger and the Men's Basketball League of the Town of Wappinger have erranged for the removal and disposal of junk cars in the Town in an effort to assist ' inr the beautification and improvement of the Town, Now, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Supervisor hereby is authorized and:: directed to enter into a written agreement with the Town of Wappinger Lion's,Club and -the Men's Basketball League of Wappinger whereby junk motor vehicles will be removed and dis- posed of. Said agreement shall further provide that the said organizations shall be paid no more than Five Dollars ($5.00) for -the disposal of each -of said vehicles provided, however, that the total number of vehicles to be removed under such contract is not to exceed two hundred (200) .
