Resolution Awarding Bid for the Purchase of Two 2000 Gallon Fuel Storage Tanks for the
Highway Department
At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County,
New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on May 15,
2012.
The meeting was called to order by Barbara Gutzler, Supervisor, and upon roll being
called, the following were present:

ABSENT:
The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Kuzmicz and seconded by
Councilwoman Czarniecki.
WHEREAS, the Town of Wappinger Highway Department has two underground
petroleum storage tanks, one containing gasoline and one containing diesel fuel; and
WHEREAS, the annual inspection of cathodic protection of those tanks revealed that the
tanks are failing and need replacement; and
WHEREAS, Highway Superintendent, Graham Foster, with the supervision and
guidance of Joseph Jordan ofEnviro Clean, has proposed to remove the two old storage tanks
and install two new 2000 gallon rectangular, above ground design, Fireguard Tank "OP" storage
tanks; and
WHEREAS, advertisements for bids for the two new storage tanks were du1y published
and the following bids were received:

WHEREAS, by memo dated May 8, 2012, Highway Superintendent, Graham Foster, has
reported that the lowest responsible bidder is Fred Burack Co., Inc., with an address of 15
Puritan Road, Rye, New York 10580, in the amount of $29,498.00 delivered.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
1. The recitations above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set
forth and adopted herein.
2. The Town of Wappinger hereby awards the bid for the purchase of two 2000
gallon rectangular, above ground design, Fireguard Tank "OP" storage tanks to
Fred Burack Co., Inc. in the amount of $29,498.00 delivered.
