Resolution Recognizing Town Resident Mary Cruise
At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County,
New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on May 15,
2012.
The meeting was called to order by Barbara Gutzler, Supervisor, and upon roll being
called, the following were present:

ABSENT:
The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Bettina and seconded by
Councilman Kuzmicz.
WHEREAS, Mary Crosie is an active resident of the Village ofWappingers Falls in the
Town of Wappinger;
WHEREAS, Mary Crosie is an active member and trustee of the Ladies Auxiliary of Veteran's
of Foreign Wars Post 5913, Wappingers Falls, NY;
WHEREAS, Mary Crosie is an active member of the American Gold Star Mothers, a national
organization formed to provide support to mothers who lost children in service to our country;
WHEREAS, Mary Crosie has attended and taken part in Memorial Day Services within the
Village ofWappingers Falls and the Town of Wappinger for over forty years;
WHEREAS, Mary Crosie has volunteered hundreds of hours per year, including 352 hours in
2011, at Castle Point Veteran's Facility;
WHEREAS, Mary Crosie has packaged and delivered Meals on Wheels to fellow members of
our community for over twenty-five years;
WHEREAS, Mary Crosie will be formally recognized for her selfless contributions and
activities within our community on Monday, May 21, 2012 by the Dutchess County Division of
Aging Services when she is named "Senior of the Year;"
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger
pause its deliberations for the purpose of recognizing Town of Wappinger resident Mary Crosie
for her service to the residents of the Town of Wappinger and surrounding communities.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:
