1970-05-25 SPM118 An Adjourned Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger was held at the Wappinger Junior High School, Remsen Avenue, Wappingers Falls, New York, on May 25, 1970. Supervisor Diehl called the Adjourned Meeting to order at 8:22 P.M. for the purpose of setting a date for a Public Hearing on Local Laws # 2 and #3 of the Year 1970, establishing the water and sewer rates in the Fleetwood Manor Districts. (This meeting was adjourned from a Special Meeting held May 18, 1970 and called solely for the above purpose. Ian MacDonald, Attorney for the Fleetwood Manor Water and Sewer District placed Local Law #2 of the Year 1970, entitled, "A Local Law relating to the imposition charge and collection of water rates for the Fleetwood Manor Water District as well as the penalties and enforcement thereof" before the Board. Mr. Mills asked Rudolph Lapar what the charges had been. Mr. Lapar replied, $20.00 each quarter for water and sewer. Mr. Holt asked Mr. Lapar what the comparison was with the new rates. Mr. Lapar replied they would be a little higher., Mr. MacDonald placed Local Law #3 of the Year 1970, entitled, "A Local Law relating to the imposition charge and collection of sewerage rates for the Fleetwood Manor Sewer District as well as the penalties and enforcement thereof", before the Board. MR. MILLS made a motion to set a Public Hearing for Local Law #2 of the Year 1970 at 7:45 P.M. June 8th, 1970, at the Town Hall, Mill Street, Wappingers Falls, New York and Local Law #3 of the Year 1970 at 8:00 P.M. June 8th, 1970 at the Town Hall, Mill Street, Wappingers Falls, New York. Seconded by Mr. Finnan. Motion Unanimously Carried MR. FINNAN moved to adjourn, seconded by Mr. Mills and unanimously carried. Meeting closed at 8:45 P.M. Elaine H. Snowden Town Clerk
