A Public Hearing was held on Thursday, May 27, 1965, at the Town Hall, Mill
Street, Wappingers Falls, N.Y., for the purpose of Amending the Town of Wappinger
Zoning Ordinance: As follows:
That Zoning Ordinance Article IV, Section 421, Item 17, be changed to read
as follows:
17. Riding Academies*, Stables*, veterinarian Offices*, hospitals*, and
dog kennels*; only when located on 10 or more acres of land.
Present: Supervisor, Richard H. Linge; Councilman, Louis Diehl; Councilman,
George Robinson; Justice of the Peace; Vincent Francese; Justice of the Peace
William Bulger; Attorney for the Town, Harold Reilly; Town Clerk, Helen L.
Travis.
The Hearing was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Supervisor Richard H. Linge.
The Town Clerk read the affidavit of Publication, and affidavit of Posting.
There being no one present to talk against or for, a motion was made by Council-
man Robinson, and seconded by Justice of the Peace Bulger, that the hearing adjourn.

A motion was made by Justice of the Peace Bulger, and seconded by Councilman Diehl,
that the following Resolution be passed;
BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDAINED, by the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess
County, New York in pursuance of the Authority conferred by Article 16 of the Town
Law of the State of New York and also in pursuance of Article 9 of the Town Law
to the extent applicable as follows:
Section 1, Item 17 of Permitted Principal Uses in Residential District as
contained in Section 421 of Town of Wappinger Zoning Ordinance, adopted January 29,
1963, is hereby amended to read as follows: -
Animal
"17. Riding Academies*, Stables*, Veterinarians Offices*, hospitals*, and dog
kennels*, only when located on 10 or more acres of land.
The following vote was taken - Supervisor Richard H. Linge, aye. Councilman
George Robinson, aye. Councilman Louis Diehl, aye. Justice of the Peace Vincent
S. Francese, aye. Justice of the Peace William J. Bulger, aye.
A letter was read from Joseph Keegan, asking for permission for the School to use
the voting machines on June 16, 1965.
Motion was made by Justice of the Peace Bulger, and seconded by Councilman Robinson
that the School be allowed to use the machines.

Town Engineer Kelley spoke on the conditions on Edgehill. He said the roads were
in deplorable condition and that it was up to the Town to fix them. He stated that
it should be done by outside Contractors, with Highway Superintendent Lawson
doing as much as possible. The cost would be in the vicinity of $10,000.00.
Motion was made by Justice of the Peace Bulger and seconded by Justice of the
Peace Francese, that Engineer for the Town Kelley be empowered to do field work
on this matter, and make plans for this Construction and put the work out to Bid.
Highway Superintendent Lawson is to do as much work as possible.

A letter had been received from the Dutchess County Health Department in reference
to Sewage system at Green Tree Apartments and suggested that this be attached to
L & A Sewerage System. The question was asked if they thought the system was
adequate enough. Attorney for the Town, Harold H. Reilly is to look into the
legal part of this situation. It was also suggested that Planning Board review
these documents: again.
Supervisor Linge presented a letter from White Plains Company, enclosing Card for
collecting Junk Cars.
Motion was made by Justice of the Peace Bulger and seconded by Councilman Diehl,
that the Town Clerk have cards made for Junk pickup and advertise in the paper
that Company will pick up cars.

Engineer for the Town Vincent Kelley stated that he needed services of an Attorney
to help him in the Sewer Districts.
Motion was made by Justice of the Peace Francese, seconded by Councilman Robinson
that Attorneys Russel E. Aldrich and James J. Lyons be appointed to aid Engineer
Kelley in the Sewer Districts.
The following vote was taken: Supervisor Linge, Aye. Councilman Robinson, Aye.
Councilman Diehl, Abstained from voting. Justice of the Peace Bulger, Naye. Justice
of the Peace Francese, Aye.

A letter was read from K. H. Becker, enclosing his resignation from the Zoning
Board of Appeals, effective as of May 7, 1965.
A motion was made by Justice of the Peace Francese, and seconded by Justice of the
Francese, and seconded by Justice of the Peace Bulger, that the Town Clerk write
a letter to Mr. Becker stating their regrets for his leaving, and thanking him for
the wonderful work he did for the Town.

Motion was made by Justice of the Peace William J. Bulger, seconded by Councilman
Robinson, that Fred Koehler be appointed to the Zoning Board of Appeals.

Motion was made by Justice of the Peace Bulger and seconded by Councilman Diehl,
that Dave Koffsky be -appointed Chairman of the Zoning Board of Appeals.
Motion Carried
Motion was made by Justice of the Peace Francese, and seconded by Councilman Diehl
that wepprchase 2 book cases at $42.00 each, for Lawbooks.
Motion Carried
Motion was made by Justice of the Peace Bulger, seconded by Councilman Robinson,
that the meeting adjourn.
