Town Hall on March 8,1956
Present Superrisor Edward R.Scofield,Just ces Joseph F.Kelly and Eduard

and Town Clerk Edith H.Booth.
Meeting was called to order by Supervisor Scofield at 8130 P.M.

Motion made by Councilman Mewkill seconded by Judge Kelly that bills bd paid.
Carried
Ibtion made by Justice Beatty seconded by ,Justice Kelly that the Town Board
by affirmative vote reject the application of the Wappingers Central School
Board for the installation and maintenance by the Town of Wappingerof a traffic
light at the entrance to the Evans School on Route 9.
Ibtion carried unanimously.
Motion made by Councilman Mewkill seconded by Justice Beatty after a reccommendation
by the Superintendent of Highways that Eck Road 1000 feet,Marlene Drive 1000Feet
& Michial Drive 1600 feet on the Eck developement have met tthe Tawe spe icattions
that the Town take over the above mentioned roads=when the deeds are sle-livered.

Motion made by Judge Beatty seconded by Councilman U--wkill that the Central
School District be loaned four of the Town voting machines for their election
March 15th. Motion Carried
Motion made by Judge Kelly seconded by Councilman %wkill that the Supervisor
be empowered to rent the rooms being vacated by the Wappingers Savings Bank
-from Masonic Lodge No.671 F.& A.M. at a rental. of $50.00 a month effective
April lst.and to purchase the safes & installations,other furniture and air
conditioning unit for the sum of $1,000.00 to be paid at the convenience of
,the Town Board. Carried
