Motion Carried Motion made by Justice Kelly seconded by Councilman Hager,that Carlen Drive ,Sherwood Heights,running easterly and southernly from All Angels Hill Road approximately 900 feet to a turn around be accepted as a public highway of the Town of Wappinger,such acceptance to become effective as of the date the County Supt.of Highways files his written approval thereof with the Town Clerk. Motion Carried Motion made by Judge Kelly seconded by Judge Beatty that on gr -count of increaded assessed valuation making extra work for the Board of Assessors i �2 that they be paid the following salaries for the year 1956. Chairman $1600. the remaining two assessors $1200. per year. Motion Carried Motion made by Judge Kelly seconded.by Councilman Mewkill that the preliminary budget of the Town as presented to the Tovm Board by the Town Clerk be approved. Resolved that this Town Board does hereby prepare and approve as the preliminary budget of this Town for the fiscal year beginning on the lst.day of January 1957 the itemized statement of estimated revenues & expenditures hereto attached and made a part of this resolution &.be it Further resolved that this Board shall meet on the 26th. day of October 1956 between the hours of 4 and 5 o'clock.P.M. for the purpose of holding a Public Hearing in the mariner provided in Section 113 of the Town Law. The official is filed in the Supervisor's Office and the preliminary is hereby attached. Motion made by Councilman Hager seconded by Councilman Mewkill that meeting adjourn. Motion carried. Such obligations will be authorized to be issued by this Board by a separate resolution, (over) At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, held in the Town Offiees, Mill Street, Wappingers Falls, New York, on the 4th day of October, 1956, The following resolution was offered by cut? ¢' Harold J.Mewkill WHEREAS, the Town Superintendent of Highways has, at this meeting, recommended the purchase of certain highway machinery, viz: a new Sand, Chloride, Cinder and Chip Spreader meeting the minimum specifications set forth in his recommendation which is attached hereto and hereby made a part of this resolution, and WHEREAS the Town Board, pursuant to Section 142 of the High- way Law, has considered such recommendation, and the purchase of such highway machinery is deemed advisable and necessary for the proper maintenance of the town highways of the Town of Wappinger, and WHEREAS the Town Board desires to authorize the Superinten- dent to enter into a contract for the purchase of such machinery pur- suant to the statutes in such case made and provided, now therefore be it RESOLVED that the Town of Wappinger advertise for sealed bids to the end that a contract for the purchase of such machinery may be awarded pursuant to law, and be it further RESOLVED that the Town Clerk be and she hereby is authorized and directed to advertise for such bids by causing a notice to be published in the official newspaper of the Town, such notice and the publication thereof to be in compliance with Section 103 of the General Municipal Law. Complete unit to be skid mounted with necessary fittings and lines to attach to dump truck, and hookup for remote control from truck cab.
