A special meeting of the Town Board,Town of Wappinger was held in the Town
Hall on October 26,1956
Present Supervisor Edward R.Scofield, Justice of the Peace Edward B.Beatty
Councilman Emory J.Hager, Supt.of Highway,Virgil Knight,Town Atty.James J.
Lyons and Tmv-n Clerk Edith H.Booth.
The meeting was called for a hearing on the Preliminary Budget.. Proof was
presented to the Tovm Board bT the Town Clerk of the publication of notices
specifying time and place of hearing upon such budget.The Town Clerk
presented budget to the Town Board.
The hearing was held open from 4 o'clock to 5 o'clock P.M.with members of
the Town Board present.
No persons appearing in favor of or against the preliminary budget a motion
was made by Justice Beatty seconded by Councilman Hager that budget be
adopted as read.
Motion carried
Whereas this Town Board has met at the time and place specified in the
notice of public hearing on the Preliminary Budget and heard all persons
desiring to be heard thereon now therefore be it
Resolved that this Town Board does hereby adopt such Preliminary Budget
as originally compiled as the annual budget of this Town for the fiscal
year beginning on the lst.day of January 1957 and that such budget as
so adopted be entered in detail in the minutes of the pr6ceedings of
this Tarn Board and be it
Further resolved that the Town Clerk of this Tom shall prepare and certify
in duplicate copies of such annual budget as adopted by this Town Board
to-gether with the estimates if any adopted pursuant to Sec.202 A Subd.2
of the Town law and deliver two copies thereof to the Supervisor of this
Town to be presented by him to the Board of Supervisors of this County.
Motion made by Councilman Hager seconded by Judge Beatty that meeting
adjourn. Motion carried.
