1957-10-25A special meeting of the Town Board,Town of Wappinger was held in the Town
Hall on October 25,1957
Present Supervisor Edward R.Scofield,Attorney James J.Ly'ons,Councilman
Emory J.Hager,Justice of Peace Edward B.Beatty and Town Clerk Edith H.
Booth.
The meeting was called for a hearing on the Preliminary Budget,Proof was
presented to the Town Board by the Town Clerk of the publication of notices
specifying time and place of hearing upon such budget.
The Town Clerk presented budget to the Town Board. p.,A.
The hearing was held open from 4 o'clock to 5 o'clockAwith members of the
Town Board present.
No persons appearing in favor of or against the preliminary budget a motion
was made by Councilman Hager seconded by Judge Beatty that budget be
approved as read. - Motion carried
Whereas this Town Board has met at the time and place specified in the
notice of public hearing on the preliminary budget and hoard all persons
desiring to be heard thereon now therefore be it
Resolved that this Tovvn Board does hereby adopt such preliminary budget
as originally compiled as the annual budget of this Town for the fiscal
year beginning on the lst.day of January 1958 and that such budget as so adopted
be entered in detail in the minutes of the proceedings of this Tom Board
and be it
Further resolved that the Town Clerk of this Town shall prepare and certify
in duplicate copies of such annual budget as adopted by this Town Board
to—gether with the estimates if any adopted pursuant to Sec.202 A Subd.2
of the Town Law and deliver two copies thereof to the Supervisor of this To-.vn
to be presented by him to the Board of Supervisors of this County.
Motion made by Judge Beatty seconded by Councilman Hager that meeting
adjourn. Motion Carried
