Motion Carried An ordinance permitting Bingo in the Town of Wappinger ,Dut chess Co.,N.Y. WHEREAS,after due publication of notice,a public hearing upon an ordinance authorizing conduct of the game of bingo in the Town of Wappinger,County of Dutchess and State of New York,having been held in the Town Hall on the 29th. day of Apri1,1958 NOW,THEREFORE,at a regular meeting of the Town Board held on the 5th, day of June,1958,on motion of Councilman Mewkill seconded by Councilman Hager,be it RESOLVED AND ORDATNED,that it shall be lawful for any authorized organi.zation,as defined in Section 176 of Article 14-G of the General Municipal Law ,upon obtaining the required license,to conduct the game of bingo within the territorial limits of the Town of Wappinger,subject to the provisions of this ordinance,Article 14—G of the General Municipal Law and Article 19—B of the EXECUTIVE IAW and the following restrictions= 1 No person,firm,association,corporation or organi.zzation,other than an authorized organization licensed under the provisions of this article, shall be permitted to conduct such games . 2 The entire net proceeds of any game shall be exclusively devoted to the lawful purposes of the organization permitted to conduct the same. 3 No single prize shall exceed the sum or value of two hundred fifty dollars. 4 No series of prizes on any one occasion;,.shall aggregate more than one thousand dollars. 5 No person except a bona fide member of any such organization shall participate in the management or operation of such gage. 6 No person shall receive any remmeration for participating in the management or operation of any such game 7 The unauthorized conduct of a bingo game and any willful violation of any provision of any such local law or ordinance shall constitute and be punishable as a misdemeanor. Justice of Nace,Joseph F.Kelly " " Edward B .Beatty Councilman Emory J.Hager Councilman Harold J.Merrkill Dated June 5,1958 11. - MA1,11r, Motion made by Judge Beatty seconded by Judge Kelly RESOLVED,that a Special Town Election be held at the Hughsonville Fire House,Hughsonville,N.Y. on the 22nd,day of July 1958 at which the polls shall be opened at 2:00 o'clock P.M. and shall be closed at 8:00 P.M. for the purpose of 'votipg upon the following proposition,vi.z. r PROPOSITION ON BINGO. Shall bingo be permitted withinthe territorial limits of the Town of Wappinger in accordance with the provisions of Article 1,Section 9 of the Constitution of the State of New York,as amended,the provisions of Article 14—G of the General Municipal Law,Article 19 B of the Executive Law,the rules and regulations of the State Lottery Control Commission 2 U and in accordance with the provisions of an ordinance duly adopted by the Town Board on Jame 5,1958 entitled ttAnbrdinance permitting Bingo in the Town of Wappinger�Dutchess Co..*New York.
