Motion made by Judge Beatty seconded by Councilman Hager that bills
be paid.
Votion Carried
Motion made by councilman Hager secondedby ,fudge Kelly that Charles
Maneri be appointed 'Town Engineer at a salary of §0,,00 a year
Lotion carried
Motion made by Judge Kelly seconded by Councilman Mewkill that
the Supt.of Highway be authorized to submit specifications for
a new grader at our next regular meeting. Votion carried
Motion made by Judge Kelly seconded by Councilman Hager that the
Sui;ervisor be authorized to take advantage of the discount of
Central Hudson bills in special Districts & authorized to make
payment before February 16. Motion carried
Motion made by Councilman Hager seconded by Judge Kelly that any Town
official is authorized to attend tha Association of Towns Convention
to be held in New York City on February 9th. and ending February 11,1959
their expenses being a legal Town charge Motion carried
Motion made by Judge Kelly seconded by Councilman Mewkill and carried
Whereas,Article 7,section 144 of the Highway law provides for the purchase
of gravel and stone within the Tovrn at a price per cubic ;;,,ard to be approved
by the Town Board,and
ti4hereas,the above mentioned materials will be used during the year 19593and
therefore be it
Resolved,that the Town Clerk be authorized to advertize for bids
for gravel,sand and stone
Motion made by Judge Kelly seconded by Councilman Hager and carried
Whereas,the Town Superintendent has recommended the use of Bituminous
Materials on roads in the Town of Wappinger for the year 1959,and
Whereas,such purchases must be made in accordance with Subdivision 1,
Section 10.3 of the General Municipal Law.therefore,be it
Resolved,that the Town Superintendent be authorized to advertize for
bids for said Bituminous Materials as recommended by the said Town
Superintendent.

Road land takings.Attorney 4yons reported that he had deeds and blue prints
of individual takings,description and Boundaries of property.Engineer survey
Promised to get map of Smi-thtown and Cooper Road
Peter Burgazzoli was present and spoke on the same subject.
The attorney suggested that the Town Engineer be consulted concerning complete
road map,containing contour of new road.
Michael Ilirras appeared before the board in reference to the removal of a
tree on a Town road stating that he had contacted Tlew York Telephone Co.,
Central Hudson (�z Brook Hollow i.n .reference to same.
