Motion carried Bids were opened for the advertized purchase of a new motor grader advertized April 1,1959 there being one bid submitted from H.O.Penn 14chinery Co. The bid was as followsNew Caterpillar #12 Lriotor Grader 22079.00 allowance for 1911 galion motor grader 2.100.00 cost delivered to Town Garage $19,979.00 Motion made by Judge Kelly seconded by Councilmam Mewkill that the Town purchase the above grader. Motion carried Higly ay Commissioner Mr.Knight explained part of his plans for the ensuing year 1959,after discussion from various people it was decided that Mr.Knight probably knew road conditions in the Trwn of Wappinger and, the probabilities are that his decision would be the best it being his responsibility P.rlr.Arthur J.Bisom appeared before the board in reference to building code and zoning. l±% Walter Evans of VanVoorhis Terrace spoke in reference to a lower culvert. lh,.xni;ht said he would visit the spot and give the same due consideration. Mr.Ken Thornton spoke in re; to meeting by various Civic Organizations with respect to Town roads. Concentrate on thru roads,preference to others, exception agrees Smithtown and Cooper roads should have con - - sideration. Lotion made by Judge Kelly seconded by Councilman Mewkill that meeting adjourn.
