1959-07-09233 A regular meeting of the Town Board, Town of Wappinger was held in the Town Hall on Thursday evening, July 9th, 1959 Present -Supervisor, Edward R. Scofield, Justice of the Peace, Joseph F. Kelly, Councilmen -Harold J. Mewkill and Emory J. Hager, Superintendent of Highways -Virgil Knight, Town Engineer -Charles Maneri and Town Attorney -James J. Lyons, Supervisor Edward R. Scofield appointed Emory J. Hager Secretary for the meeting. The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Scofield at 7:30 P. B. Hilton, representing Panorama Development (Chauncey Gold) presented a map of Panoram Acres showing Hi View Road and Top-O'Hill Road. Resolved that Hie View Road and Top-O'Hill Road, as shown o map and described in deed from Chauncey & Monroe Gold, to the Town of Wappinger, dated July 8, 1959 be accepted as public highways of the Town of Wappinger, such acceptance to be contingent upon and'to become effective only if and when such deed is amended to extend the two easments conveyed to the rear line of the lot affected. A motion was made by Justice Kelly and seconded by Councilman`Mewkill that this resolution be accepted. Motion carried. Thomas Leach appeared before the Board to inquire from the Highway Superintendent what could be done in the Ardmore Developement regarding the roads. Irving Buck of Cameli Acres appeared before the Board relative to a petion to create a light district. It. Fred. Laftko appeared before the Board relative to acceptance of road in Brookfield Acres and submitted a map. Resolved that Brookfield Drive, East Brookfield Drive, Greystone Drive and West Brookfield Drive as shown on map of Brookfield Estates, made by Milton Chaze. P.E. & P.S.. and dated Jun 1. 19K9_ hP acr:PntPrl aG nihli r hi ehVrAvQ 235 of the Town of Wappinger, such acceptance to be contingent upon and to become effective only when the following condiotions are complied with. 1- A good and sufficient Warranty Deed conveying such roads and any easements deemed necessary by the Town Superintendent of Highways, is presented to the Town of Wappinger. 2.-A performance bond, in the amount of $12,500.00, guaranteeing completion of such wdkads within a two year period, in accordance with current Town specifications, is filed with the Town. 3. The Developers shall maintain, care for, and undertake all responsibility for such roads and snow removal until such time as the same are finally accepted by the Township. A motion was made by Justice Kelly and seconded by Councilman Mewkill that this resolution be accepted. Motion Carried. Mr. Roger Humeston appeared before the Board and requested a bingo licaase for Mt. Hope Grange ##902, Wappingers Falls and presented an application. Resolved that the application of Mt. Hope Grange #}902, Wappingers Falls for a hingo license be granted, contingent upon approval by the Dutchess County Seriff of the members directly in charge of conducting the game. A motion was made by Councilman Hager and Seconded by Justice Kelly that this resolution be accepted. Motion Carried. Arthur Bisom appeared before the Board relative to removal of shrubbery on Dyers Corners Road near Route 9. Kenneth Thornton appeared before the Board and complimented Superintendent of Highways on the excellent work he>has done on the Highwayss, also asked Charles Maneri about cutting some low Limbs at Whites Corners and on Pine Ridge Drive. Thomas Larkin appearad before the Board and asked for two voting machines in the Hughsonville District. Mrs. Windheim appeared before the Board and asked for sign at entrance to Osborn Hill Road. A letter was read at meeting from Mrs. Mabel Wixom, Chelsea relative to dogs barking and on motion made by Justice Kelly and seconded by Council- man IAewill the letter was referred to the Dutchess County Board of Health. Motion Made by Councilman Me%vkill, seconded by Justice Kelly that the appointment of Frank Van Nostrand, Chelsea as constable be revoked. Motion carried. Motion made by Councilman Mewkill and seconded by Justice Kelp that Attorney Lyons be empowered to purchase the necessary bingo forms and charge the cost of same to the Town. Motion Carried. 236 The bills for the month of June were read. A Motion was made by Justice Kelly and seconded by Councilman Mewkill that the bills be paid. Motion Carried. A motion was made by Councilman Hager and seconded by Councilman Mewkill that the meeting adjourn. Motion carrie& G Acting Secretary.
