A speesal meeting of the Town Board, Town of Wappinger Was held in the

Town Hall, on Wednesday evening, December 30, 1959
Present:-Sppervisor-Edward R..Scofield, Councilmen -Harold J. Mewkill
and Emory J. Hager, Justice's of the Peace:- Joseph F. Kelly and Edward
B. Beatty; Superintendent of Highways -Virgil Knight, Town Engineer -
Charles Manieri and Deputy Toim Clerk -Helen L. Travis.
The meeting was called to order at 7:55 P. M. by Supervisor Edward
R. Scofield.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.

Supervisor Scofield suggested that $?O,000.00 be transferred from the General
Fund to the Machinery Fund.
A Motion was made by Judge Kelly and seconded by Councilman Hager that
$20,000.00 be transferred from the General Fund to the Machinery Fund.
Mr. Elderkin appeared before the Board asking what had been done abount
refund due fvamtaxes on the Liss Road properties. Supervisor Scofiel&-,

told him that the matter had been turned over to the Town Attorney,
James J. Lyons to be taken up Frith the County Board and that they
would receive their refund from the County.,
Mr, Arthur Bisom appeared before the Board and asked about the formation
of the planning Board and asked that same go forward as soon as possible.
Carmine Rende appeared before the Board and asked if Dorothy Lane had
been accepted by the Town. This matter was 111d over to be taken up
by the new Board.
The bills for the month of December were read. A motion was made
by Judge Beatty and seconded by Councilman Mewkill that the bills be
paid. Motion carried
A motion was made by Councilman Mewkil.l and seconded by Councilman
pager that the meeting adjourn. Motion carried
