A special meeting of the Town Board, Town of Wappinger, was held in the
Town Hall, on Thursday evening, Aggust 11, 1960•
Present:—Supervisor—Richard H. Linge, Justice of the Peace—Joseph F. Kelly.
& Edward B. Beatty, 'down Clerk—Helen L. Travis and Planning Board Chairman -
Eugene Conte Town Attorney—James J. Lyons.
The meeting was opened at 8:30 P. M,, by Supervisor Richard H. Linge.
A discussion wad, held pertaining to the Salvage Ordinance. It was de—
cided that the ordinance would be brought up at the next regular
meeting and that a letter would be written to Mr. Rosen asking him
to appear at this meeting.
The Board then mRst met at 9:30 P. M. with the Park & Recreation conte
mittee:—The Park and Recreation Cemmitte reported that they had had the
Daino Property assessed by our assessor and the report was an assessment
of $15,00.00.
The committee recommended that the Town Board take underconsideration the
placing of an option on this property as soon as possible in the sum of
$15,000.00, for lots plus lake rights.
The price quoted by Mr. Daino and Mrg.Russell was $35,000.00
A motion was made by Judge Beatty and seconded by Judge Kelly that a six
months option be taken on the wino property at the price of $15,000.00.
The sum of $250.00 to be spent for such option. The park would be set
up as the Daino Memorial Park. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Judge Kelly and seconded by Judge Beatty that the
me6ting adjourn.
