1960-10-274u A public Hearing was held on the 1961 proposed budget, of the Town of V4rappinger on Thursday evening, October 27, 1960 at 8 P. M. Members of the Board attending were: -Supervisor -Richard H. Linge, Justices of the Peace -Joseph F. Kelly and Edward B. Beatty, Councilmen: -Malcolm I. Hait and Emory J. Hager, Bupt. of Highwways-Charles Mewkill, Sr., Town Attorney -James J. Lyons, Toren Clerk - Helen L. Travis. Fourteen persons attended. Several question's were asked pertaining to salary raises and also about raises for Highway employees. Questions were answered by Board Members. The Hearing closed at 8:45 P. M. A Special meeting of the Town Board, Town of Wappinger was hed in the Town Hall on Thursday evening, October 27, 1960 at 9 P. M. Members attending were; -Supervisor -Richard H. Linge, Justices of the Peace -Joseph F. Kelly and Edward B. Beatty, Councilmen -Malcolm I. Hait and Emory J. Hager, Supt. of J. Highways -Charles Mewkill, Sr., Town Attorney -James J. Mager, Sawn Clerk - Helen L. Travis. Supervisor -Riahard H. Linge called the meeting to order at 9 P. M. A motion was made by Councilman Hager and seconded by Justice og the Peace Edward B. Beatty that the 1961 Preliminary budget be accepted. Motion carried. A motion was made by Councilman Hager and seconded by Councilman Hait that the date of the November meeting be changed to November 10th, 1960. Motion carried. Mr. Larkin appeared before the Board requesting more voting machines for the Town. Judge Kelly recommended that Town Attorney Lyohs see about getting another machine for the election. A motion was made by Councilman Hager and seconded by Councilman Hait that the meeting adjourn. Motion carried Town Clerk
