1962-10-09203 A special meeting of the Town Board, Town of Wanninger was held on Tuesday evening, October 9th, 1962 . Present: -Supervisor -Richard H. Linge, Councilmen, George Robin- son and Malcolm Hait-Town Clerk -Helen L. Travis, Town Attorney - Judson Williams. The meeting was opened at 7:30 P. M. by Supervisor,Richar•d H. Linge. The following resolution was made by Councilman Robinson and seconded by Councilman Hait and carried. RESOLVED -13 the annexed detailed statement of estimated expenditure and revenues be and the same hereby is approved and adopted as the preliminary budget, of this town for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 1962, and that such prelim- inary budget shall be filed forthwith in the Officeeof the Town Clerk of this Town where it shall be available for in- spection by any interested person at all reasonable hours, and be it further RESOLVED that the Town Board shall meet at the Town Hall on Mill Street, Wappingers Falls, N. Y. in this Township at 7:-00 P. M.' on November 1st, 1962 pod from 7:00P. M. to 8 P. M., and then and there hold a public hearing upon such prelimihary budget, and that the Town Clerk shall give notice of such public hearing by publishing notice thereof in the Wappingers and Southern Dutchess News, new - paper having general circulation within this Town, such notice to be publichsed twice and the first publication thereof to be at least ten (10 days prior to the time herein above set for said hearing; and the Town Clerk shall also cause five copies of mach notice to be posted conspicuously in different places in the Town not less than ten da s before the day designated for such hearing. The Notice to be published and posted shall be prepared b,; the Town Clerk and shall he in substantially the form annexed hereto. the foregoing resolution, upon being put to a vote, was adopted by unanimous vote. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PRELIMINARY BUDGET NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVENthat the preliminary budget of the Town of. Wanninger, Dutchess County, New York, for the fiscal year Ire- ginning January 1, 1963, has been completed and filed in the offica- of the Town Clerk of said Town, at Mill Street, Wappingers Falls, N. Y., in said Town, where it is available for inspection by any interested person at all reasonable hours. AND FURTHER NOTICE IS IEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board or the said Town of Wappinger• will meet and review such preliminary budget and hold a public hearing thereon at the Town Offices, Mill Street, Wappingers Falls, N. Y. in said Town at 7:00 to 8:00 o'clock P. M. on the 1st day of November 1962 and that at such hearing any per- son may be heard in favor of or against the preliminary budget as compliled or for or against any item or items therein contained. AND NOTICE IS ALSO GIVEN, pursuant to Section 113 of the Town Law that the .following are the proposed yearly salaries of Town officers of the Town, to wit: Supervisor 4>3,0000�100 Justice of the Peace 2,000.00 Justice of the Peace 1,200.00 Councilman 600.00 Councilman 600.00 Town Clerk 3,600.00 Superintendent of Highways 6,550.00 Town Attorney---•- 3,500.00 Town Engineer----- 1,000.00 _jT% ORDER P TEE TOWN BOARD Dated:October 10, 1962 The following resolution was presented by Councilman Hait and seconded by Councilman Robinson and carried:- RESOLVED, that the terms of office of the three assessors of the Town of 4appinger now in office terminate on the thirty- first day of Iecember,1962, and be it further RESOLVED, THAT from and after the thirty-first day of December, 1962, there shall be but one assessor for the Town of Wappinger, and be it further RESOLVED, that on the first day of January, 1963, and biennially thereafter, the Town Board of the Town or Wa ,pin,Frer shall appoint one assessor for such town, who shall serve for a term or two years, and who shall receive a salary fixed by the Town Board, which shall be in liew of all other compensation, and be it further 1=6_,: 1.;:: RESOLVED, that the forgoing resolution is Subject to a permissive referendum as prescribed by Section 21 of the Town Law.
