Town Clerk Chris Masterson offered for the record the Affidavits of Posting and Publication, duly signed and notarized (These Affidavits are attached hereto and made a part thereof the Minutes of the Public Hearing). Supervisor Ruggiero proceeded to read the rates for the capital and quarterly operations and maintenance charges for the Mid -Point Point Sewer District, the Wildwood Sewer District, the Watch Hill Sewer District, the Watch Hill Water District, Tall Trees Water Improvement Area, Fleetwood Water District and the Fleetwood Sewer District. The Supervisor opened the floor for public comment. There were none. Councilman Beale made a Motion to close the Public Hearing. The Motion was seconded by Councilman Bettina and passed unanimously. The Public Hearing was then closed at 7:42 PM. New Business 1. Councilman Bettina New Business Councilman Bettina asked what the Tax Rate for the Town of Wappinger is. Supervisor Ruggiero answered that there is a 70% reduction in the tax rate from last year. It will be $1.01 per $1000 of assessed value. 2. Councilman Beale New Business Councilman Beale asked if the Supervisor would give him a copy of the PowerPoint presentation from the November 81h Meeting. Supervisor Ruggiero replied that he would give ..� the Councilman a copy. 3. Statement from the Floor A resident asked a question from the floor regarding the Tall Trees water problem. She asked if there was a plan to address this issue. Supervisor Ruggiero mentioned that the Obercreek project has a condition to provide water for Tall Trees. The resident feels that the rate she pays is high compared to other districts. Supervisor Ruggiero explained that the rate seems high because there are only 78 units in that area. Discussion followed. 4. Councilman Paoloni New Business Councilman Paoloni mentioned that there was a comment at the previous night's Town Board Meeting that there was an error in the sewer rates. His question is what the effect of that would be. Supervisor Ruggiero answered that the Phase 3A District is the only one to be affected. The result is an increase of $55.00. Councilman Paoloni asked if the Board could be given a list of what the rate is compared to what it would have been. Supervisor Ruggiero replied that he would provide that for the Board. IV.
