MINUTES OF DECEMBER 4, 1975 MEETING
~~xt meeting - January 8, 1976
Th~ regular meeting of the Town of ~appingor Recreation Commission was held
at the Town Hall on December 4, 1975. The meeting was opened at 7:40 P.M.
Present: Hugh J. Naurcr, Theresa Arksll, George Schlathaus, Jean Beahan
and Laura Zick
Absent: "Joseph Ennesser, Richard Garren and Mary Schmalz
DIRECTOR'S REPORT
~rs. Laura Zick reported t~lat the ~enls Easketball program would be held.
fromB o'clock to 11 o'clock instead of 7 o'clock to 10 o'clock. Also the
man had complained about the floor at the Wappinger Junior High so they
switched with the CYO at John Jay.
The Monday night Adult Program also had to be changed because the gym would
not be available eVBJ.:Y t'icnday. The prDgram '",ould be held a different night
each week and a schedule of the nights would be posted.
Joan Kolor was unable to run the gymnastics program this year so Mrs. Linda
Mann was hired to run it.
Mrs. Zick said she had written a letter to the film company concerning the
film program but as yet had not received an answer. Mr. Maurer suggested
~ndt they use the free library films and ask Mr. Steve Mitchell to chaperone.
Since the Women's Exercise Program went so well it was decided to hold it
again in the spring.
The Roller Skating Trip was a huge success with close to 90 people attending.
The meeting was closed at 9:00 P.M.
