Next Meeting--Sept. 6, 1979
The regular meeting of the Recreation COmmission was held on August 16,
1979 at Town Hall, Mill Street, Village of Wappingers Falls, Dutchess
COunty, New York.
Mr. Maurer opened the meeting at 7:45 P.M.
Present: Hugh J. Maurer, Chairman, Mary Schmalz, Frank Presti and
Joseph Ennesser, Director
Mr. Maurer informed the COmmissioners that Budget Estimates were due
in the COmptrollers Office by the 20th of September, 1979 and they
would spend the next meetings compiling the budget. Little League
representatives had asked to be present at a meeting before the
budget was presented, also the Dutchess Hockey Association wished to
spe~{ to the members. He requested that the Secretary contact Little
League and invite them to the meeting for September 6, 1979 at 8:00 P.M.,
and they could give their presentation between 8 and 8:30 P.M. The
Hockey Association would be invited to give their presentation at
8:45 P.M. for one half hour.
Mr. Ennesser reported that the summer program had been good~ a few
problems, nothing that couldn't be handled. He would report on some
recommendations that he had for next year. He and Mr. Maurer had set
the dates of September 29 and 30th for the Horse Show. Western on the
29th, English on the 30th at Robinson Lane. He would arrange for
advertising and have posters drawn to post at different places.
