The meeting was opened at 7:30 p.m. with the follc.wing persons present: Ralph J. Holt, Chairman, Bernie Reimer, Directc.r, Commissic.n Members Ellen Korz, Joseph t"lastroianni, Hugh J. Maurer, Bill Wood, and Maintenance Director John Vorndran. Donald Hider arrived at 7:50 p.m. The minutes of the November 16, 1989 meeting were apprc.ved on a motic.n by Mr. Wood, seconded by Mrs. Korz with all in favor. Upon his arrival Mr. Rider wanted it noted that it was a trailer bc.dy to be placed at Rockingham not just a truck body. DIRECTOR"S REPORT Mr. Reimer reported that the Jr. High renovatic.ns are still not complete and now it is hoped that after the Christmas Holiday the programs will start. Arrangements have been made with the Highway Department to plow the driveway at Schlathaus. 2. The posts have been completed on the Tennis Courts.. Mr. Vorndran found that the old ones were only put in 1 'foot. It was suggested that signs be obtained to request players to loosen the nets a'fter play thereby reducing the constant stress on the posts. 5. Reese Park is now closed. Mr. Vorndran noted that someone has placed a big rock at the entrance.. 6.. With all the problems we have had in getting P.o."s we notpd that we are losing $6,600. in addition to monies the Town Board took for gymnastics, engineering 'fees etc.. Korz asked if we had been able to find out who purchased the Castle. The sec:retary will check on this for the next meeting. 9. Holt met with the Planning Board and developers of the above subdivision to discuss the Recreation takings. It is hoped that we can get work done at Castle Point (our adjoining property) in lieu of land or money.. We are in need of property in that area and would like to discuss this with him. Korz and Mrs. Roe for all their help. Mr. Holt mentioned that he had attended the Village Tree Lighting and that it went well although they did run out of <;.Ii.t"ts;...
