2013-1192013-119 Resolution Authorizing Temporary Borrowing from the United Wappinger Sewer Operational Account At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on Apri18, 2013. The meeting was called to order by Barbara Gutzler, Supervisor, and upon roll being called, the following were present: PRESENT: Supervisor Councilmembers ABSENT: Barbara Gutzler William H. Beale Vincent F. Bettina Ismay Czarniecki Michael Kuzmicz The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Beale and seconded by Councilman Bettina. WHEREAS, by Resolution 2012-332 dated December 10, 2012, the Town Board authorized the issuance of $385,000.00 in Serial Bonds to be issued by the Town to pay for the increase and improvement of the facilities of the United Wappinger Sewer District (UWSD) in connection with certain improvements required at the Wappinger Creek Pump Station which serves the Tri-Municipal Sewer Plant; and WHEREAS, the Accountant to the Town has advised the Town Board that there are fund balances within the United Wappinger Sewer Operational account which could be temporarily loaned to pay for the first round of improvements to the Wappinger Pump Station. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows: 1. The recitations incorporated above set forth are incorporated in this Resolution as if fully set forth and adopted herein. 2. The Town Board, rather than go through the expenses of issuing bonds to fund the payment of initial costs of the first round of improvements to the Wappinger Pump Station, the Town Board hereby authorizes the Supervisor to temporarily borrow up to $385,000.00 from the United Wappinger Sewer Operational account to pay a portion of Wappinger's share of the improvements to the Wappinger Pump Station. 3. The Town Board directs that any funds temporarily borrowed from the United Wappinger Sewer Operational account shall be reimbursed to said United Wappinger Sewer Operational account prior to December 31, 2013 together with interest at the rate of .3% per annum pro-rated to date of payment.
