2008-0552008-55 Resolution Approving the Payment of Association of Towns Annual Meeting Attendee "Per Diem" Payment At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on February 11 th, 2008. The meeting was called to order by Christopher Colsey, Supervisor, and upon roll being called, the following were present: PRESENT: Supervisor Councilmembers ABSENT: Christopher J. Colsey William H. Beale Vincent F. Bettina (Arrived at 7:15 PM) Maureen McCarthy Joseph P. Paoloni The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Bettina and seconded by Councilman Beale. WHEREAS, Sedore & Company, appointed auditors to the Town of Wappinger, has researched the issue and presented such determination in a memo dated February 4, 2008 relative to the issue of "per diem" travel (meal) expenses; WHEREAS, it has been determined that travel expense policies and procedures are deemed the indiction of the local legislative body; WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger has authorized the attendance of twenty (20) elected officials, appointed officials and/or employees to the 2008 Association of Towns Conference to be held in New York City; and, WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger has deliberated sufficiently on the method of travel expense reimbursement policies and procedures. BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger hereby authorizes the issuance of "per diem" meal expense checks at the rate of $64 per attendance day and calculated in accordance with the written advice of said appointed auditing firm to each attendee of the Association of Towns Conference.
