HOLT, CHAIRMAN RE: OLD COMPUTERS STORED AT SCHLATHAUS BUILDING SUPERVISOR JOSEPH RUGGIERO TOWN COUNCIL WILLIAM H. BEALE VINCENT BETTINA MAUREEN McCARTHY JOSEPH P. PAOLONI There, exists today 32 old computers stored in the recreation building know as the Schlathaus Property. These computers present a safety hazard to the building and to the people that use the facility. These are old and obsolete computers, some 20+ of which were given to us as a donation. Since there are no records on these computers and they were never picked up as Town of Wappinger assets, we request they be removed. Royal Carting a firm located in East Fishkill will remove these for a fee of $20.00 for each computer. Since these computers are not allowed to be handled in the normal manner, such as we do for stoves or other metal materials, and must have special attention given to their disposal, I request we use Royal Carting as the means to dispose of these computers. We have checked the serial numbers on all computers to ensure the Town records will be reviewed to see if any are listed on our books. The acquisition of these computers allowed us to put in place our computer program and were a great help in getting us started. Now, however, is the time to remove these old computers. We have six (6) available today, and although they are not new, they are in satisfactory condition to use in our program. Thank you. R. J. H.
